Example One: You are shooting an Event for a large
corporation. You have agreed to provide each person with a 8x10 print.
Log into the web site as the photographer and order (at
no charge) 250 coupons for the retail price or your 8x10 plus
shipping and taxes (if applicable). We e-mail you the text file with 250
coupon codes. You print the coupons with the codes, event information and
distribute them to the people at the event.
Example Two:
You are shooting a sports tournament with 100 people in attendance. You
would like to motivate them to your site by
offering a free 5x7 print. You log on to the web site as photographer and
order (at no charge) 100 coupons
for your
retail price of the 5x7. If you are feeling generous you could also include
the shipping and sales tax (if applicable).
We e-mail you the text file with 100 coupon codes. You print the coupons
with the codes, event information and distribute
them to the people at the event.
Example Three:
You have shot a wedding and in your package price included $250
worth of prints from the website. Log into the web site as the photographer
and order (at no charge) 1 coupon
for $250. We e-mail you the text file with the 1 - $250 coupon code. You
print a nice "certificate" (coupon) with the code and the event information
then give it to the bride (we know who does the ordering!).
Example Four:
Your shooting posed photographs ( seniors / school pictures /
church directory / in studio / sports leagues, etc.) you want to
collect the money up-front for the photographs. Log into the web site as the
photographer and order (at no charge)
different dollar amount coupons for the retail price of the packages
plus shipping and taxes (if applicable) for the packages you would like to
sell. When you sell the package at the event provide them a coupon with the
code for that package.

The client uses the web site in the normal fashion. On the
checkout screen there is a place to enter a coupon. The client then enters
the coupon and on the next screen the checkout will indicate :
A. The coupon covers the cost exactly and
there is a "zero" transaction. B.
The coupon still has a balance on it (this gives them an
incentive to "use it up" and increase
your sales)
C. If the client owes additional
money (yes, the coupon does not limit your sale)
then they enter the
their credit card information for the difference.
We then process and ship the order in the normal fashion
|
Type "A" and Type "B" transactions:
In this transaction you have issued a coupon for the total amount
including the product, shipping and sales tax (if applicable).
(Just like example one and four of the event examples.)
We bill your credit card (on file) for the cost of the product, shipping,
sales tax and a .50 transaction fee .
Examples:
A 5x7 (if your retail was
10.00) would be
4.00 (if no tax, add 8.25% if your selling in Texas)
An 8x10 (if your retail
was 15.00) would be 5.95 (if no tax, add
8.25% if your selling in Texas)
The order will be
tagged as a coupon on your sales report.
If the coupon has a
balance left, it reports that back to the client. (this can spur extra
sales)
Type "C" transactions:
In this transaction you have issued a coupon for less than
the total amount - no shipping or sales tax
-or-
The client has purchased additional products from you. (this is
really why you wanted them to use a coupon in the 1st place!)
If the clients transaction exceeds the cost
of the product, shipping, sales tax and a .50 transaction fee:
The order is run through
in the normal manner and the Buck $hots coupon
is handled as a discount.
Example:
You have issued a
coupon for $10.00 and the client orders $100 dollars worth of products
The
Buck $hots coupon is taken off the $100 as a
discount and the order is processed in the normal fashion.
If the clients transaction does not
exceed the cost of the product, shipping, sales tax and a .50 transaction
fee
We bill your credit card
(on file) for the cost of the product, shipping, sales tax and a .50
transaction fee Less The
Amount The Client is
Paying.
Example:
You have issued a
coupon for $12.25 to cover the cost of a 5x7 (at $10.00 retail) and
shipping. The client decides to
order an 8x10 at
$15.00 instead of the 5x7 at $10.00 bringing the sales total to $17.70.
The cost of
the 8x10 is 2.75, shipping is 2.70, and the transaction fee is .50 total due
to the lab is 5.95.
The client
has paid $17.70 less the Buck $hots $12.25 coupon (5.45) on their credit
card.
We bill you
the difference on your credit card:
Total due to the lab (5.95) - Client transaction(5.45) = .50 billing to you
