Glossary of Terms These are the terms that we use for the OrderPicture.Com System

| Account | The account is your identity with us. You may have as many active accounts as you like. |

| Event | A Photographic Happening..... wedding, parties, portrait shoot, team photos, action photos, ceremonies, corporate meetings, etc.. |
| Event Password |
This is optional but recommended to prevent one customer
from seeing another customers pricing. You should
try not to use a date example: |
| Event Password Clue | Helps customers remember passwords: Password "Julie" use the clue "Brides Name" Password "Billy" use the clue "Teams Coach" Do should not use the Password in the event name |
| Event Secure Name | This provides the highest level of security available. The Events name will not be listed in your list of Events for your clients. They must enter this name when asked for on the website, it will then be made available. Use it for sensitive subjects, public figures, private company events, K thru 6 grade etc. Also protects your list of important clients |
| EXIF | Exchangeable Image File Format Most Digital camera systems embed information about the image within the image itself. The OrderPicture.Com system will read this information and make some of it available for sorting on the website via the Keywords. Some camera manufacturers also send orientation information so the images will always be right side up. |
| Expiration Date | Defaults to 90 Days, any date can be chosen or changed later. When an Event expires it is not deleted from the website until 60 days has passed. Expired events can be re-instated at any time. You can permanently remove an event by Loggin in as the photographer to the website and deleting it. |
| Featured Photo | If you are using categories featured images will appear on the first page of the Event next to the category name. |
| FTP | File Transfer Protocol The industry standard method used to transmit files from one computer to another. The Process and Upload uses FTP ports 20 and 21 to upload images. If you install a firewall make sure that orderpicture.com has permission to use these ports. |
| Header Messages | These appear at the top of the Event website. Use them to send special messages to your customers. |
| IPTC | International Press Telecommunications
Council Some image management systems embed information about the image within the image itself. The OrderPicture.Com system will read this information and make it available for sorting on the website via the Keywords. |
| Group / Team Photo | If you shoot teams and individuals you can categorize the teams and select the team image. Schools and other organizations can also be sorted in this way. There can also be a group/team photo in the All Images Category. The group/team photo will be used for multiple-image products such as memory mates and composite pages. |
| Keywords | Words associated with a specific image that can be sorted and searched for on the website. Bib numbering for races, time codes for large Events, subjects names for portrait and school photography, etc. |
| Local Machine | The OrderPicture.com software runs and stores the events on the "local" machine (your computer). The website and the "back room" tools run on the "Remote" machine (our web servers) displaying and selling your images. |
| Log in as the photographer | With the Image Manager software running click on the webbrowser in the menu then click on log in as photographer. You will enter the "back room" of your website on our servers. Different professional products will be available to you alone as you are logged in. Any changes made on the website for prices, categories, featured photos, group photos or event details will be overwritten if you edit or change the event using the Image Manager Software on your computer. You may also log in as the photographer from the www.orderpicture.com Home Page. |
| Remote Machine | The Image Manager software runs and stores the events on the "local" machine (your computer). The website and the "back room" tools run on the "Remote" machine (our web servers) displaying and selling your images. |

| SMPT Server address | Simple Mail Transfer Protocol Server Address This the the name for your internet provider (IP) mail handling computer. ex : mail.ip.com it tells our software where to handle your e-mail support requests (optional) |

| WaterMark | A mark placed on the image to promote your identity and/or minimize copyright infringements of you images. Text and / or your logo can be used. |
