Pro-Edit
The Pro-Edit system is
designed to correct
event images as efficiently and consistently
as possible.
Starting Pro-Edit
After you have selected the images for
your event and you are in
the Edit Category menu of the event wizard.
Click on the menu item ProEdit.

The ProEdit window will appear.

Select an image to work on form the thumbnail strip
by clicking on it.
The image will appear in both preview windows

Selecting Guide Images
Guide Images can be used to compare color and density
to a set of standard images or to a previous event that you have
created.
Click on the Guide Selector Button

The Guides selector will appear. You may choose a previous
event or set of images to help you edit the current event.

Click on one of the guide thumbs to open it in the guide preview.
You can keep this guide in this window by choosing the
Hold Guide Image. If you choose
Show Original Image each
time you change images the original will appear in the guide preview.

Image Editing
You can use the slider bars or the "+" and "-" buttons
to alter the
red/cyan
green/magenta
blue/yellow
plus density/minus density
low contrast/high contrast
sharpen/blur
of the Image.
At any time you can press the
"reset all controls to O" to reset.

You may also try the
Auto Density Balance
Auto Levels Balance
to improve an image.
The Hold Corrections will maintain the
current corrections
for each image opened.

You can use the Auto Settings button to
fine tune the Auto
corrections settings. The reset brings to
back to normal.

Image Crop Tool
Double click on the image being edited. The red
selector crop guide will appear.

To size the crop guide:
Smaller:
Click the right side of the red selector
with the Right - Mouse button and
move to the left.
Larger:
Click the right side of the red selector
with the Right - Mouse button and
move to the right.
To move the crop guide:
Click the center of the red selector with
the left-mouse button and move it.

The crop guide will remain on all images until you turn it off by
double clicking on the red selector.
IMPORTANT NOTE: any image that the crop guide appears
on will
be cropped when the Save Edits to Originals
is clicked. This
is very useful when doing large numbers of images that all need similar
cropping.
Save Edited Image
When you decide to save the image
click on the Save Edits to Original button.
If the Open Next Image After Save is checked
the next image in the event will open, or you may choose
from the thumb strip.
If any image that is opened has been edited the
Restore to Original Image button will be
present.
This will remove all editing from that image.
